Watch this online introduction to the Re-imagining Madge Gill project from the organisers at East London Textile Arts.
You will find instructions on how to get involved at home and how you can contribute your own artwork to an exhibition in Little Ilford Baptist Church on Saturday 22 May (11-4pm).
There will also be a making day at the church so there will be drop in textile and drawing activities for visitors to sample the wonderful world of Madge Gill and East London Textile Arts.
Artworks will be displayed as a homage to Madge Gill, strung beautifully from washing lines in the garden of the church.
Please note that artwork should be dropped off at 10am at Little Ilford Church, Sheringham Ave, London E12 5PA.
If posting artwork to the Church, please make sure it arrives by Thursday 20 May.
A video brief for textile and art enthusiasts keen to join with a group of local people to learn more about the local remarkable visionary artist, Madge Gill.
