Newham Poetry Group Presents: Celebrating our Markets

Friday 21 May 4.30-6.30pm
  • Free
  • Family

Join us at the Poetry House in Stratford Park for this live event. During the afternoon we invite you to practice your creative writing skills and write poems inspired by pictures and stories from both, Queens and Stratford Markets.

There will be live reading of poems created and written by local residents inspired by shopping in their local markets.  Look out for our special guest Mr Rashan, a market trader at Queens Market, who will be sharing his stories with us.

This event will be supported by BSL/English interpreters.

Covid-19 security measures will be in place following the Government’s latest guidance. The workshop and performance is planned with Covid-19 safety measures in place. Audiences and participants should not attend the site if they or a member of their household have symptoms of Covid 19, have tested positive or have been told to isolate.
