About Newham Poetry Group

 Newham Poetry Group is a volunteer led, not for profit community group, made up of proactive residents who believe that poetry should be accessible to all.

Since 2016, Newham Poetry Group has been organising different art and cultural activities around Newham, mainly focussing on poetry. Programmes have included: Summer Poetry Schools, Poetry exhibitions, and weekly poetry sessions around Stratford Library and East Ham library. The group has also published two anthologies of poems, thanks to the support of Loughborough University.

Newham Poetry Group has an intuitive, sensitive and engaging approach to working with people to represent them positively and with dignity.
