We will take a look at the musical cultural heritage of the Royal Docks from the 1950s to the 2020s, from Bollywood to Brick Lane! We will focus on institutions such as the Brick Lane Music Hall that have brought music and culture to the area and laid the ground for new organisations, such as The Beams – as well as look at the diverse local culture heritage amongst ethnic communities that has inspired young local artists. The timetable for the night is:
6.30pm arrive – welcome refreshments & intros
7.00pm Talk on History of Brick Lane Music Hall – Vincent Hayes MBE
7.30pm Show by Brick Lane Music Hall
8.30pm – Hot food served / buffet & networking / socialising

RDLAC is a well-established, multi-purpose, voluntary sector organisation, which is firmly rooted in the local community. Our Centre is home to many intercultural and inter-generational groups.
We promote diversity by bringing together people from different ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
We also support those who endeavour to make the Royal Docks area a stronger, healthier and happier place to live for all with a focus on the environment and heritage.
This event will be held at The Factory Project.
