Re-Imagining Madge Gill — Exhibition and workshop at the House Mill

Sunday drop-in 2 - 4pm
  • Free
  • All Ages

Inspired by the work of former Newham resident and self-taught visionary artist, Madge Gill (1881-1961), we would love you to come and explore your creativity with us.

This event is part of a series of workshops open to those with an interest in textiles or drawing and finding out more about this fascinating local artist.

Newham-based East London Textile Arts (ELTA) will be running a drawing and making drop-in workshop at the House Mill on Sunday 23rd of May, which is free and open to all.

Taking place in the gardens at the House Mill, it celebrates the first installation of Madge Gill: Nature in Mind, a major outdoor exhibition of her work opening in June 2021 along the route of The Line, curated in partnership with Sophie Dutton.

Ages 8+ welcome (children must have adult supervision when using needles and scissors).
