Farzana Hakim is the author of two south Asian interest novels: Sweethearts of Ilford Lane and The Silence of a Deep River.
With a particular interest in Newham and the south Asian diaspora, she’s collected oral histories from people connected to the borough.
She is the editor of ‘Thursday Connectors’ at Write On! Magazine and the host and founder of the ‘Hear My Voice’ – a creative writing workshop series for women.
She also works with ‘Inspiring Futures’ a programme that seeks to de-colonise the literacy curriculum in Primary Schools.
