Eastside Community Heritage – 30 years of heritage in Newham

Stratford Town Hall
1998

About this record

Eastside Community Heritage has worked with over 15000 individuals, 900 organisations, produced 85 exhibitions, published 16 books, 30 video documentaries and undertaken a total of over 300 community heritage based projects.

From their beginnings with offices in Stratford’s Old Town Hall, the organisation has grown and now has exciting plan to make their vast archives, collections, library and resources more accessible to the general public. Included in this development will be opportunities to interact and connect, as well as a chance to add your knowledge and personal stories. They will broaden their services and learning programmes to the diverse communities in Newham.  In addition, they are adapting their resources to be delivered online, to enable individuals in self- isolation to participate.
