Hear from speakers about the many guises of the reserve from the opening by Queen Elizabeth in December 1983 to its use as a laboratory, Victorian school, museum as well as a classroom for hundreds of young people in Newham and beyond.

Accessibility: Please note, access to one of the exhibition spaces involves a staircase. For those unable to use the stairs, a digital version of the exhibition will be made available.
Audio posts: There will be headphones provided to listen to audio recordings. Visitors are also welcome to bring and use their own if they prefer.
This event has been coordinated by local artist Matt Ponting who in 2022, worked with Shape Newham to revitalise East Ham Nature Reserve with a new gate, signage and mural.
