Art in Newham – Hartley Primary School

This is an exhibition featuring the work of Year 4 pupils at Hartley Primary School who recently completed a research project about artists in Newham. 

They looked into artists who were born or grew up in Newham, and the different styles and pieces that they created. They were amazed to find that there have been, and are still, so many great artists in the area. It has definitely inspired some budding artists and shows why heritage is important!

This exhibition showcases the journey that the pupils undertook, from first learning about different artists’ styles to learning about Newham to create their own artwork.
