
Having lived in Newham my entire life I have a deep-rooted connection to the area and a lifelong interest in history and
heritage. I am especially passionate about heritage crafts and trades, both as a practitioner and teacher.
Currently, I run The Crafted Corner, a small community organisation based in Canning Town. We focus on teaching both heritage and contemporary craft skills such as sewing, crochet, and natural dyeing. I’m passionate about learning and sharing this knowledge, and I regularly engage with a wide variety of people who visit our maker space and gift shop — from older residents with rich life experiences to neurodiverse individuals with unique perspectives and stories.
