The Eastside Archive is proud to announce the launch of ‘Secrets Shared’, a groundbreaking digital collection that will eventually feature over 4,000 oral histories capturing the authentic voices and experiences of Newham and East London communities. This exciting first phase launches with 50+ carefully curated collections from our archive of 200 collections, with more stories being added regularly over the coming years.

This comprehensive online catalogue represents the beginning of an ambitious project that will bring together decades of recorded memories, stories, and testimonies from local residents, workers, activists, and families who have shaped the cultural landscape of London and Newham. The initial launch features 50 diverse collections, carefully selected from our archive of 200 collections, with the full collection of over 4,000 oral histories to be made available in phases over the coming year.
