Windrush Voices is a moving documentary that shines a light on the everyday lives, experiences, and legacies of the Windrush Generation and their descendants in Newham.

Through heartfelt interviews with over ten Caribbean migrants who lived and worked in Newham from the 1960s to the early 1970s, the film captures powerful stories of resilience, community, and achievement. From first impressions of the UK, the weather, food, and work to building families and shaping the borough’s cultural identity, Windrush Voices celebrates their lasting impact on local life.
