As West ham park celebrates its 150th year this year and continues to be the biggest and one of the most visited parks in the borough, a lot of memories have been made over its many years.
We’ve sought out people to share their stories and had some fascinating revelations in the process. There’s no one old enough to remember the first ever FA cup goal scored on the park’s grounds nor to have been Mary Fry’s neighbour, but the revelations shared with us won’t be things you’d find in books or by searching online.
These personal and touching stories reveal a lot about how Newham has changed over the years, and how this valued public space has shaped the lives of local people.
All ages welcome, children must be supervised. This event will be D/deaf accessible with BSL interpretation
