Mapping traces of the Beckton Gasworks through plaster casting

This casting workshop accompanies Post Post Industrial, an exhibition exploring the history and current state of the land that was once the Beckton Gasworks. As part of our exhibition we have taken casts of traces of the gasworks that remain on the land.

Through the workshop, we invite you to collaborate in our exhibition by creating casts from the gate at the end of Winsor Terrace, once the entrance to the gasworks. We will guide you in taking moulds of the gate. We will then walk through the ex-gasworks land to the exhibition where we will be taking plaster casts.

The casts will be shown as part of the exhibition alongside other casts of the area. You will be free to collect the casts at the end of the exhibition on 30th June.

This workshop is suitable for 14+ but under 18s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
