Let Us Play Our Part

London 2012 shone a commendable light on the level of diversity that exists in Great Britain. Team GB looked like Britain. Let Us Play Our Part showcases pride in and celebrates our outrageously talented black and ethnic minority athletes such as Sir Mo Farah, a Briton with origins in Somalia, who gained the highest accolade.

We want to reflect on the legacy of the Games, reminisce the joy and the communal experience we all had, and remind ourselves not to be complacent and welcome the fact that we are a country of migrants with Newham, particularly, a melting pot of multiculturalism.
