Guided tours of Bromley-by-Bow Gasworks
Bromley-by-Bow Gasworks was established by the Imperial Gas Imperial Gas Light & Coke Company in 1870.
Changes to the way gas is supplied to homes and business led to most of the original site being redeveloped as the Prologis Industrial Estate and the gasholders being decommissioned later in 2010.
Join us for a free guided walk around the Grade II listed gasholders. Tours will take approximately 45 minutes.
We are hoping to take people around the gasholder site itself and due to health and safety reasons this event will therefore be only available for people ages 18+. Full PPE will also be required. PPE will be provided but do bring your own if you have it (hard hat, high vis jacket, gloves and safety glasses).
Please arrive 15 minutes early so we can start promptly.
