Bromley-by-Bow Gasworks Sketch & Walk Tours

Untouched for over a decade, the seven Grade II Listed gasholders played a big part in the East End’s rich history of innovation and invention.

As St William continue to develop proposals to retain the gasholders as part of a new neighbourhood, they invite you to celebrate the site’s fantastic heritage on a sketch & walking tour.

Learn some facts around the historic site, look at its industrial and natural landscape, structure and patterns through drawing and connect with other sketchers.

You will be led by local sketcher and designer Lydia Thornley. No drawing experience needed – whether you’re a professional or someone who hasn’t drawn in years, you’ll be welcome – and materials provided.

There will be six tours across two days at the following times:

• Thursday 8th June 1pm – 2pm
• Thursday 8th June 2.15 – 3.15pm
• Thursday 8th June 4pm – 5pm
• Saturday 10th June 11am – 12pm
• Saturday 10th June 12.15pm – 1.15pm
• Saturday 10th June 1.30 pm – 2.30pm

Due to health and safety reasons the site tours are only available to over 18’s. Full PPE will be required and be provided, but do bring your own if you have it (hard hat, high vis jacket and steel cap boots)

Please arrive 15 minutes early so we can start promptly.
