About Sylvia Morgado and Sylvie Belbouab
Sylvia Morgado and Sylvie Belbouab are both artists who are based and work in east London and who are passionate about their local area.
Morgado studied at the University of east London from 2009-10 and followed Stratford’s transformation with a keen eye.
With an interest in arts and sculpture, and as a correspondent for a news agency, she joined the Cultural Olympiad events. Realising that not everyone was aware of the events, her mission has been to bring awareness to them.
Belbouab is a photographer who has lived in Newham for twenty years and has been documenting major social events and making portraits of residents, telling their stories and preserving the local history.
