Art in the Docks uses creativity to celebrate the rich history and culture of London’s youngest and most diverse borough. We use community heritage to strengthen community identity and cohesion through shared history, culture, and traditions. Our events bring people of all ages together, fostering a sense of pride, belonging, and mutual understanding.

Our social enterprise is committed to making art and culture accessible to people who otherwise feel excluded, reducing barriers to participation and adding to a sense of inclusiveness. We are a leading provider of Creative Health outcomes and a ‘go-to’ provider of large-scale community engagement programmes.

We remove inequality of access to cultural capital by stimulating participation in creative activity, fostering stronger community connections and empowering people to thrive creatively, socially, and economically.  We believe that access to art and culture can help transform individuals and societies, creating a fairer society by providing opportunities for all.
