16th May 2025 - Newham Heritage Month team
We would love to hear about any events or activities taking place in September 2025 that align with the themes of this year’s Newham Heritage Month – Newham at 60: A Borough Like No Other.
Newham Heritage Month is a festival of live participatory events and online activities taking place in September across the borough to showcase the rich and diverse cultural heritage of the local area. The events and activities are hosted by the individuals and organisations who have received a community grant.
We are also looking to highlight additional events and activities taking place in Newham this September that share stories about the people and places that make the borough unique.

We will offer promotion, marketing and inclusion in our programme materials, although we are not able to provide any funding for these events.
Newham Heritage Month is organised by Newham Council with kind support from The National Lottery Heritage Fund.
Submissions: Write to us and let us know who you are, what you are planning and where, and how it relates to the theme of Newham at 60: A Borough Like No Other.
Please contact: James.King@Newham.gov.uk
Deadline: if you would like to be considered for inclusion in our programme, please get in touch with us as soon as possible. The final deadline for submissions is 30th June 2025.
