Art and Islam workshop

Join Maryam Adam and Memunatu Barrie at Masjid Ibrahim for their ‘Islam and Art workshop’.

Participants will be introduced to various forms of Islamic Art including classical Islamic Art history and examples of famous Islamic (geometric) Artworks.

Using different shaped stamps to create geometric designs, stencils and fabric crayons, participants will be making decorated prayer mats and bookmarks which look like mini prayer mats which they will be able to take away with them at the end of the workshop.

This workshop is suitable for those aged 6+ .

Each session will be 1.5 hour long. There will be three repeats of this workshop throughout the day.
