Darning Newham Presents: Decorative Mending and Embroidery Workshop
Join local textile artist, Katie May Anderson to learn about decorative mending and embroidery. In this workshop we cover basic sewing skills that can be used to fix and embellish clothing. We explore how we can tell stories through stitch and the emotional value of the textiles in our lives.
No previous sewing experience needed, both beginners and enthusiasts are welcome to take part.
The workshop is aimed at ages 12+ years, but children should be supervised by an adult when sewing.
